...with one old bus, a stock of glitzy costumes and wigs, three quirky friends, some heartwarming stories and a groovin’ soundtrack featuring iconic songs from the disco era and beyond!
Join the three drag queens as they hit the road on a long trip from Sydney to Alice Springs to perform their show, each one with their own personal reasons for going: one to get over a recent loss, one to pursue an unusual dream, and one to meet the son he had been keeping a secret.
Sing, dance and feel with them through every remarkable experience, every encounter with some very interesting characters, and every lesson learned in this rainbow-colored ride!
Based on the 1994 Australian film starring Hugo Weaving, Guy Pearce, and Terence Stamp, Priscilla, Queen of the Desert: the Musical premiered in Sydney in October 2006. It has since been staged in New Zealand, the UK, Canada, USA, Italy, South America, and Sweden, seen by close to 2.5 million people worldwide.
The musical features 20 full-scale production numbers set to some classic disco hits including It’s Raining Men, I Will Survive, Hot Stuff, Finally, I Love The Nightlife, Shake Your Groove Thing and more.
Now playing to Philippine audiences for the first time, Priscilla, Queen of the Desert: the Musical runs from May 9 to July 13, 2014 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater, Resorts World Manila.
