RWM Holds Festival of Flowers and Fashion with La Flora de Mayo

Resorts World Manila held its first ever La Flora de Mayo in commemoration of the Queen of all Festivals in the Philippines, the Flores de Mayo last May 30.

Resorts World Manila  (RWM) held its first ever La Flora de Mayo in commemoration of the Queen of all Festivals in the Philippines, the Flores de Mayo. Last May 30, a procession featuring the most beautiful belles in town made its way around Newport City, clad in ternos created by top designers in the country.

This colorful display of flowers, fashion and beauty started at Newport Plaza and progressed to the Shrine of St. Therese, where the queens of the parade made an offering to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Bishop Tumulak was present to bless the queens and their escorts. The procession was witnessed by a nearly a thousand spectators and guests.

The event concluded with a mini-fashion show at the Newport Plaza where Mystique provided the entertainment for the all-night celebration.
