'Tis the season to be feasting at Mercado

A Pinoy Christmas will not be complete without friends and family coming together for laughter, great company and sumptuous food at the table.

At Mercado, there’s something for every craving. The revelry begins at lunch, with Mercado’s hearty buffet of well-loved Christmas dishes. Sink your teeth into tender Beef Morcon (braised beef roulades) Kare-Kare (tripe in peanut sauce served with shrimp paste) and Beef Kaldereta (a rich and mildly spicy beef stew).  Then there’s Mercado’s version of Chicken Leg Inasal and the timeless Chicken Barbecue, both of which bring back happy memories of meals lovingly prepared at home.

The feast continues with Crispy Pata (deep-fried pork knuckles) served with liver sauce, Embutido (meat loaf) and Baby Back Ribs, Filipino-style.  For something light and refreshing, Mercado offers Pan Seared Snapper with Mango Salsa, Rellenong Bangus (stuffed milkfish) and Grilled Marinated Tuna Belly.
The country’s Spanish heritage comes alive with Mercado’s Callos con Garbanzos (beef tripe and beans in tomato sauce), Squid Shrimp Gambas and Lengua Estofado (ox tongue in a rich, savory sauce).

Pasta lovers of all ages will be delighted with the meaty and cheesy goodness of Mercado’s Baked Lasagne and Baked Macaroni. More adventurous palates can sample eclectic concoctions such as Mercado’s Bangus Sisig Pasta and Stir-fried Aligue Pasta.

Christmas dinner buffet at Mercado becomes even more special with carving stations serving Christmas Ham with Pineapple Glaze, Rosta Turkey, Braised Beef and of course, the certified star of any Filipino feast, the Lechon (slow-roasted pork).

Freshly-baked bread, an assortment of cheeses, healthy salads, a sushi and sashimi bar and Chinese dishes round up Mercado’s extensive food selection.
 For dessert, Mercado whipped up dreamy, delightful confections such as Christmas Pudding, Mix Berry Pavlova, Yule Log Cake, Eggnog Mousse and more.
