RWM chefs dominate RP Culinary Cup
When Resorts World Manila (RWM) created a world-class leisure complex for Filipinos and tourists, producing exquisite flavors is a priority. Fine-dining restaurants sprouted within the tourism facility- Impressions, The Terrace, Ginzadon, Passion, NoodleWorks, Mercado- each offering distinct tastes and each run by talented Filipino chefs who continue to wow, not just RWM patrons but also judges in international culinary competitions.
Just recently, RWM's team of chefs bagged 10 medals (2 golds, 6 silvers and 2 bronzes) from the Philippine Culinary Cup held at the SMX Convention Center from August 1- 4, 2012. From cakes and pastries to seafood, the men and women behind the sumptuous treats served 24/7 in Resorts World Manila topped the class, proving further RWM's plight to give you a gastronomic delight.

RWM 1st Baker Alan Revamonte won Gold in the Pastry and Bakery Showpiece Display
for his entry made of chocolate carvings designed into bread called "Endless Love".
Michael Aspiras, one of RWM’s veteran kitchen superstars and Pastry Chef de Partie, won Gold in the Pastry Showpiece (Chocolate Display) Category with his entry inspired by his favorite Disney Pixar movie, “Up”. He describes his style as animated, veering away from the traditional way of chocolate display. Inspired by the European pastry teams, Aspiras’s interpretation of that iconic colorful house with balloons we see in the animated movie took the spotlight.
Alan Revamonte, meanwhile, our very own 1st Baker, joined the Pastry and Bakery Showpiece Display with his entry titled “Endless Love”. He describes his piece in one word- “revolutionary” as he incorporated chocolate carving design into bread. Competing for the third time, he has prepared extraordinary ribbon bread made out of sugar dough and salt dough, garnished with various Italian breads. Prepared and baked in our own pastry kitchen, Alan was given an hour to set up and retouch his piece. Revamonte also finished gold in a field of 13 veteran chefs.
