RWM productions reap citations
Resorts World Manila's (RWM) productions Kaos, The Sound of Music, and the RWM Concert Series reaped numerous citations at the recently concluded 24th Aliw Awards. Aliw Awards positions itself as the only recognized award giving body for live entertainment in the country.
A tale of a prince in search of his true love in the magical world filled with stunts, music and magic, Kaos captivated the hearts not only of theatergoers but of critics as well as it won Best Special Concept Production. This category is a deviation from the usual Aliw top prizes: Best Production, Musical and Best Production, Non-musical. Kaos’s breakthrough concept ushered in a new style of staging musical productions in the country. Its timeless story set accompanied by excellent music and riveting stunts, was so innovative and refreshing that critics felt the need to create a separate category.
