SMB holds 9-Ball Open, Universal Studios Singapore trips up for grabs
Form a group of three, register, and prepare those beer drinking skills for a chance to win P1 Million pesos in cash, a cruise aboard a Star Cruises luxury ship and a day tour at Universal Studios Singapore!
Not only does the San Miguel Elite Beer Drinking Contest take beer aficionados places, the event is extended up to December, making it the longest-running event of the San Miguel Oktoberfest. San Miguel Beer and Resorts World Manila also joined forces to hold the SMB 9-Ball Open.
The San Miguel Elite Beer Drinking Contest opened last October 21 and will end on December 29. Resorts World Manila members need to earn 250 Genting Points (GPs) to join. Once enough points are earned, members get a voucher at the Promotions Desk for verification and scheduling. Non-members meanwhile, must sign up for a FREE membership to enter the contest. Elimination rounds of the beer drinking contest are held every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 6:00 pm to 12 midnight at Bar 360. Winners of the elimination rounds get to proceed to the monthly finals on November 30 and December 28 at The Plaza, Newport Mall. The winner of the trip to Universal Studios Singapore will be declared during the Grand Finals slated on December 29.
Everyone, however, is a winner. Monthly finalists already get to bring home cash prizes and gift certificates. The top three finalists each month get P50,000, P30,000 and P20,000, respectively. At the grand finals, on the other hand, second placers win P100,000 while the third placers get P50,000.
Cue artists get the chance to win P70,000 in the Open Category and up to P350,000 in the Masters Category of the SMB 9-Ball Open. Regional tournaments are now ongoing in the cities of Davao, Angeles and Bacolod while the pre-finals of the Metro Manila leg will be on October 28 and 29, 6:00 pm at The Plaza, Newport Mall. The grand finals will be on Halloween weekend, October 30, 7:30 pm also at The Plaza, Newport Mall. The stars of the local billards scene will also converge in the same venue on October 30 for the 9-Ball Master’s title.
We're down to the last few days of the great Oktoberfest but for San Miguel Beer and Resorts World Manila, the revelry continues up to the end of the year, going all the way to Universal Studios Singapore!
